I set out to make a whimsical witchy hats that yelled "JOY!" and out came The Witch's Bonnet Hats.
 
Each one is unique and inspired by the natural world. 
 
They are crocheted in 100% cotton, which makes them lightweight and perfect for year round wear (probably more appropriate for Spring, Summer, and Fall weather, but it all depends on where you live.)   The embellishments are done in either 100% cotton or 100% Highland wool.  
 
The brim is bonnet style, but someone could weave in a wire if they wanted it to stand out. The cone falls gently like a tail, but could be made to stand tall and proud with some sort of stuffing inside (tissue paper can work well here). I left it floppy and bonnety, as I think it is more whimsical this way.
 
Each hat is a slightly different size, but all will fit an average size head.  
They vary in measurements from brim edge to tip (when laying down) 16 to 18 inches. It will have some stretch to it as well. If shrinking is needed, it can be gently submerged in hot water and then reshaped and let to dry.
 
This took approximately 10 to 12 hours to make each hat start to finish and is imbued with whimsical joyful vibes.
