Inspired by those that walk the Poison Path...........
Tucked within the realms of plant medicine and plant majick, lies the poisoners path..... and with them walk the plant spirits of a scope of plants with long traditions in both medicine and majick....... which are one in the same.
The Poisoners Path Faerie house is hand crocheted and constructed out of 100% cotton, with a touch of 100% wool and filled with a poly fiberfill. While I would have loved to fill with natural wool, the synthetic fill will ward off insects who might otherwise make their home within the faerie house and it also keeps the material costs down.
This house is large. It stands 15 inches tall, and is 8 Inches in its bottom circumference. It took approximately 46 hours to create.
This is not a toy. It is a display piece that may be placed in the Home, office, clinic space or upon an altar.
The plants represented are bittersweet nightshade (Solanum dulcamara)with berries of deadly nightshade, and a deadly nightshade lantern, henbane (Hyoscyamus niger), werewolf root (Apocynum androsaemifolium), Gemmed Amanita (Amanita gemmata), and ghost pipe (Monotropa uniflora). It includes a small grimoire with information about the plants and their flower essence, crafted from wool and handmade paper with an embellishment of a yew (Taxus baccata) sprig.
The proceeds from the sale of this will be split three ways. 1/3 will be put back into purchasing fibers to continue making more fairy houses, 1/3 will go into a fund for people with Lyme disease to obtain education & support, and 1/3 will be put into a fund for me to travel to go visit & finally meet my brand new granddaughter Muriel in Florida.
