Noggin Nuisance with a Digestive Trigger

Noggin Nuisance with a Digestive Trigger Some headaches stem from sensitivities to foods. While learning what your food triggers are is highly important, even the most diligent of people can have the experience of accidentally eating something that they are sensitive to. The more familiar people are with their headache patterns, the more skilled listeners they will become at noticing the early signs. Some very skilled listeners can tell within moments that they have ingested something that is likely to bother them, and can act quickly to bring tools from their toolbox into play which may help shift the pattern, thus manifestation of the headache. The best thing I have found at thwarting an impending headache from a food sensitivity is to quickly alkalize the body. This can be done with a product called Tri-Salts, with Ume Plum (or Ume plum vinegar), or even a bit of baking soda in water. Quickly alkalizing the body, when done early enough, can often prevent an impending headache too together. At the very least, it should lessen it’s severity and duration. Any of the following may be helpful: - eat an ume plum or 1 teaspoon of ume plum paste
take 1 teaspoon of ume plum vinegar (not as effective as the plum but will work)
take Tri-Salts with water, as directed on package
take 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, mix with 6 ounces of water, and drink
The best measure is always going to be to avoid foods that you may be sensitive to. If you are unsure of what those are, I recommend exploring elimination diets.
